QRAA (Queensland Recreational Aircraft Association) completed a recent trip from the 16th to the 28th Feb 2023 with 5 aircraft.
One Aircraft from Redcliffe, two from Warwick, one from Southport and the other from Guyra near Armidale all met at St George to commence.
The first night was spent at Thargomindah then Maree, Coober Pedy, Ceduna, Pt Lincoln, Goolwa, Swan Hill and Parkes before returning to their home airport.
The only complaint made was the heat. It was 44 at Thargomindah, and it followed us to Ceduna.
The flight from Pt Lincoln to Goolwa via Thistle, Wedge and Kangaroo Islands was spectacular.
We visited the Lake Boga Flying Boat Base whilst at Swan Hill and the Dish while at Parkes.
All in all, all the participants enjoyed the trip.
